Ko Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara

The journey of Atua Healing began with a simple but powerful question: “What would happen if I could move that?”

The “that” was blocked energy — something I could see around people. As I grew older, I began to notice an energetic covering that seemed to surround many individuals, regardless of their age or life circumstances. This sparked a deep curiosity in me to understand what these energies were and why they affected people differently.

What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong journey of learning about the complex nature of energy and the patterns that can prevent it from flowing freely within a person. My path into healing was also shaped by profound personal loss.

When I was fifteen years old, my oldest sister died by suicide. I remember feeling helpless and wishing that I could have done something to help her. That experience deeply impacted me and became a turning point in my life. It strengthened my determination to understand the gift I was born with and how to use it to support others.

Years later, when my sister’s youngest son also passed away by suicide, the grief returned with even deeper questions — why had my whānau experienced so much pain? Losing one loved one in this way is devastating; losing two is something no family should have to endure.

These experiences strengthened my commitment to understanding healing at a deeper level. They became part of the driving force behind the development of TraumaInformed Rongoā MāoriAtua Healing®, a pathway that seeks to restore balance within the body, mind, and wairua by helping to release the energetic patterns that can hold people back from living fully.

Today, my work is dedicated to supporting individuals on their healing journey and training others to carry this knowledge forward.

With over 38 years of experience in Rongoā Māori, I continue to share this work so that more people can reconnect with their natural healing ability, restore balance in their lives, and support the wellbeing of their whānau and communities.

Trauma-Informed Rongoā Māori Atua Healing clears intergenerational trauma & repeating patterns that can run through our whānau.

“Receiving Atua Healing® was a powerful experience. I arrived feeling overwhelmed and carrying a lot of emotional weight, and during the session, I felt a deep sense of calm and release. Afterwards, I felt lighter, clearer and more connected to myself. The healing space that was held felt safe, nurturing and deeply respectful. It was unlike anything I had experienced before."
